Investigation Summary
The UL tests for mirror TVs, lighted mirror TVs, and lighted mirrors are well established. Mirror TVs and lighted mirror TVs should be tested to UL 962. Lighted mirrors should be tested to UL 1598, including the adhesive test of Section 16.23 which tests the adhesive backing through rigorous humidity and oven conditioning followed by a mechanical loading test.
Electric Mirror has been tested to UL standards: Mirror TVs to UL 962, backlit mirror TVs to UL 962, and backlit mirrors to UL 1598 including Section 16.23.

It is important for hotel owners to verify UL compliance to determine the safety of products and to reduce risk of potential injury and liability. Hotel owners can ask manufacturers for documentation and verify the information through the following Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL):
