The Benjamin invites savvy luxury travellers to experience their newly designed public and guest spaces including The National restaurant, a 24-hour guest lobby, guest rooms and suites. The spa-like guest bathrooms are illuminated by Integrity™ lighted mirrors.

The Benjamin uses Electric Mirror® to transform its guest bathrooms into a spa-like experience in midtown Manhattan.

Set in the heart of midtown Manhattan stands the former, famed 1927 Emery Roth building. After its acquisition by the Denihan Hospitality Group in 1997, the building was renovated, restored, and rebranded as The Benjamin, opening in 1999. In 2011, the ideally located hotel renovated again bringing extravagant sophistication in design to the boutique hotel. Centrally located, the property is mere blocks away from an onslaught of iconic New York City locations such as MoMA, Fifth Avenue shopping and restaurants, as well as Rockefeller Center.

With an emphasis on “Executive Luxury”, The Benjamin caters to the high-level business travelers and savvy luxury vacationers. The Denihan touch brings unsurpassed guest service standards, as well as a long list of amenities including a spa, a 12-pillow menu, and a guarantee of a good night’s rest.

The final phase of the renovation, lead by Betsey Moser, Denihan’s own Interior Design Project Manager, brought new life to the 209 guestrooms and suites. The cream tones central to the palette bring light and openness to the newly designed rooms – and the dark wood tones and deep red accents bring a sense of warmth. Andrew Labetti, General Manager of The Benjamin said of the renovation:

“We wanted to provide our guests with a new environment that would inspire them to work smarter, sleep sounder, and engage more effectively with family, friends and colleagues. One of the improvements included adding excellent lighting by Electric Mirror® to our spa-like bathrooms.”

The clean new design of the guest bathrooms uses Integrity™ lighted mirrors as the main light source for the environment – drastically reducing energy use with low-watt lamps. The strategic light positioning, as well as the natural light output of the Integrity™ add to the spa-like atmosphere of the bathroom, evenly illuminating the guest, making it the perfect spot to apply makeup, shave, or just prepare for the day ahead.

Midtown Manhattan offers a plethora of hotel options, but only one of them offers the Denihan executive treatment in a historic Big Apple building. Get a good night’s rest in one of the most exciting cities in the world at The Benjamin.
