Do we use Incandescent of Fluorescent lighting? What's the difference?
Electric Mirror® uses 3000 Kelvin Fluorescent lamps
paired with non-flicker ballasts to create the perfect
lighting environment. Fluorescent lamps are used becaue
they consume only 1/4 of the energy of Incandescents. Electric
Mirror® lighting consultants recommend the use of 3000k
bulbs to simulate direct, natural sunlight in order to
obtain the perfect lighting environment to apply make-up
and prepare for the day evening. Upon request, Electric
Mirror® can substitute the standard 3000k for the following:
2700K, 3600K and 5000K.
What is perfect lighting?
To achieve perfect lighting in an environment, there must
always be at least 2 light sources. One source should
always come from above and the other source should
come from head on, in order to eliminate shadows and
create the perfect lighting environment to apply make-up
and prepare for the day and evening.
How
often do you need to change the lamps? What is the
process?
The Fluorescent lamps used in most of Electric Mirror's® products
have a long lifespan of 20,000 hours. With hotel renovations
occurring about every 7-8 years, these lamps would only
need to be changed one time.
After the lifespan is completed there are three different
methods of changing the bulbs, depending on the product.
The first method is just reaching behind the mirror,
giving the bulb a 1/4 turn and switching out the bulb.
The second method is opening up the mirror, like a door,
and switching out the bulb as mentioned above. The third
method, most commonly utilized, is removing the mirror
and changing the builbs.
Where
can you purchase new lamps?
Purchasing new lamps is easy and convenient. New lamps
can be purchased directly from Electric Mirror® or
from most lighting distributors.
